The best and most beautiful biathlete Italian Michela Ponza was born in February 12, 1979 in northern Italy in Bolzano. Her grandfather camvid Vincenzo Demets in 1937 became the first in the history of Italy, two-time world champion camvid in cross-country skiing. Her parents Ulrike and Luigi are also known skiers. Their way sport is carried on Mika, as affectionately called her, and she made her first steps in cross-country skiing 15 years. After completion of higher education Ponza decided to devote his life to the biathlon.
In 1998 it became a national champion among juniors, and soon won a silver medal at the World Championships in Canada. In 1999, Mika came to a bronze medal at the World Championships in Pokljuka. In 2003, Italy's reached the podium m Biathlon World Cup for the first time, becoming the third in Holmenkollen, Norway. Mika improves sporting achievements each year. In the season 2003/04 she first entered the top twenty in the overall World Cup standings, and two years later was on the 16th place. In the 2007/08 season Ponza for the first time into the top ten of the world biathlon. Shooting Mika is among the best. She says that in the biathlon disciplines prefers, where can be directly controlled competition - namely, the pursuit and mass start.
